ProTalk - Solutions for Schneider

The ProTalk family of in-rack interface modules for the Schneider-Electric Quantum/Unity processor is designed to promote interoperability between the Quantum/Unity processor and dissimilar or remote networks, protocols and devices. ProTalk communication modules are ideal for SCADA and process control applications requiring connectivity to devices using an otherwise incompatible protocol, or to add Ethernet or serial connectivity to a Quantum/Unity processor. Among the many SE solutions provided by ProSoft Technology are the AGA liquid/gas flow computer, the ‘C’ programmable module, and the PROFIBUS DP Master Module. These ProTalk modules can be used for remote or local applications and in any number of industries.

Flow Computer for Quantum/Unity Processors: Certified for Custody Transfer by Industry Canada

ProSoft Technology’s in-rack Flow Computer (PTQ-AFC) for Schneider Electric’s Quantum/Unity platform is now certified for custody transfer due to its accuracy in calculations and measures. In an industry where prices are high and where the slightest variance in accuracy can significantly affect the bottom line, this certification assures end users that the PTQ-AFC flow computer is capable of the challenge. The module, which complies with AGA 3, 7, and 8 measurement standards, operates with a precision keen enough to use when establishing prices for the gas being measured. Additionally, the PTQ-AFC module supports 16 meter runs, another means for better facilitating custody transfer of products between two parties and line balance for pipeline leak detection.
